Programme cover for this season

Duchy Ballets 'Cinderella'

Duchy Ballet returns to the Hall for Cornwall for the seventeenth year with an entirely new choreography of a much loved fairy tale, Cinderella.

Our choreographer, Terence Etheridge, has been responsible for the creation of all of our classical ballets including 'The Nutcracker', 'Swan Lake', 'Coppelia' and 'Giselle'. He has also choreographed many of our one act pieces, which include 'Peter and the Wolf', 'Stepping out to Gershwin', 'The Mousehole Cat' and 'Aurora’s Wedding'.

In all of these ballets, he has shown great skill in displaying the talents of young dancers and adapting the choreography to their age and abilities. 'Cinderella' is no exception.

As always, Duchy Ballet aims to entertain as well as to educate: our young dancers are performing alongside adult professionals, providing them with the opportunity to experience life within a professional dance company all within their home setting of Cornwall. This year Duchy Ballet welcomes Sara and Jonathan Barton, a brother and sister duo, who have previously danced with the company in 'Coppelia', 'Swan Lake' and 'Stepping Out to Gershwin'. Their enthusiasm for dance and commitment to supporting young people in the early stages of their dance careers makes it a pleasure to see them again.

Our Principals for the 2015 Performance of Cinderella were:-
